Dr. Geyer is proficient at placing dental implants. Recently, he traveled to the Dominican Republic with a humanitarian effort to place implants on patients who otherwise could not afford it. Using state-of-the-art facilities, we are proud to bring this revolutionary approach to all those who want a natural-looking smile.

Dental Implant Treatments

Dr. Geyer is among the best dental professionals in the field and has received training and accreditations for performing implant surgeries. Using state-of-the-art facilities, we are proud to bring this revolutionary approach to all those who want a natural-looking smile.

We prioritize our patients’ needs. Using high-quality equipment, we assure our implant surgery is safe and effective. Our implants are also made of titanium cylinders and screws, making them more durable than other restorations.
We also take time to analyze your condition to provide the right treatment plan to match your lifestyle.

Comfortable, Anxiety-Free Treatment

We find solutions to make your implant surgery as comfortable as possible. Our dentists and staff have been handling patients with dental anxiety for years. We offer IV sedation dentistry to alleviate any apprehensions throughout your procedure. Having IV sedation allows many patients, who would otherwise avoid treatment, to have their necessary dental care.

We have also designed our office in a way that will help you relax when you arrive for an appointment. We have a friendly staff and a welcoming environment so that your experience feels comfortable every time.

Health Benefits of Dental Implants

Dental implants not only fill in the gap in your smile, but also protect the integrity of your oral health. Because they integrate with your natural bone, they prevent bone loss and shifting from your other teeth. This can help to preserve the integrity of your bite as well as your adjacent teeth.

Dental implants also provide convenience because you care for them the same way you would care for your natural teeth. Brushing at least twice daily along with flossing and regular dental cleanings will help you keep your dental implants healthy for many years to come.

Getting Started on the Treatment Process

The first step in the implant process is to have a consultation with Dr. Geyer at Golden Hills Dental.

He will discuss your specific situation and determine if implants are a good treatment option for you. Generally, dental implants can be used to treat most cases of tooth loss, but there are occasions when an alternative solution may be preferable. Then CT images are obtained right here in our office.

The actual procedure to insert a single dental implant is surprisingly quick and can be completed in as little as an hour. Dr. Geyer usually provides this treatment with local anesthetic. However, Dr. Geyer can also place the implant under sedation.  You should feel comfortable and relaxed during the implant placement procedure even if it is done awake. If working on a front tooth area, Dr. Geyer will also fabricate a temporary tooth replacement so you are not left with missing a front tooth at any time. Postoperative pain is generally mild.

Full integration of the implants usually takes about 4 months. After the integration is complete Dr. Geyer will uncover the implants and take an impression of the implant by attaching an ‘impression coping’ to it. The impression is sent to a lab and they prepare the implant abutment and crown. This normally takes 2-3 weeks. When this is ready Dr. Geyer will screw the implant abutment and crown onto the implant and the process will be complete. He will ensure you are happy with the aesthetics and that the crown is fitting perfectly.
